Dice
Putting together your own board game? If
there is an element of chance to it,
there's
no better game piece to include than
dice.
Traditionally, dice are numbered (using
spots)
from one to six. To get a larger range,
use
more dice. For example, two dice will
give
you two to twelve (impossible to throw
a
one since there is no zero on the dice).
Keep in mind, however, that the probability
distribution changes when you add more
dice:
for example, when using two dice there
is
only one chance out of 36 of throwing
a two,
whereas there is a one out of six chance
of throwing a seven.
