Flexible Water Garden Liners
Flexible water garden liners allow gardeners
to install pools, streams and waterfalls
in almost any size, shape and style and to
locate them almost any place in the landscape.
They are made from a variety of materials
including polyethylene, polyvinylchloride
(PVC) and ethylene propylene diene monomer
(EPDM). Liners vary greatly in thickness,
cost and quality.
The following should be considered when buying
flexible water garden liners:
- Make sure the material will not kill plants
and fish.
- Check the ultraviolet durability of the material,
as some become brittle over
time if exposed
to direct sunlight.
- Make sure the material is thick and durable
enough to withstand the conditions of the
site, especially any protruding rocks.
- Check to see if the liner comes with the
necessary underlayment already
attached.
If not you will have to provide
it.
Remember you can repair torn
or punctured
liners with special products
made for that
purpose. |
