	Nail Sets A nailset is a tool used with a hammer to set nails into the material. Generally, a finishing nail is countersunk about an eighth of an inch below the surface, and the only way to accomplish this is to use a nailset. Nail sets are generally sold in sets in a variety of sizes and with counterpunches. Look for a heavy, durable metal material that will hold up to the metal on metal on metal pounding of being in between a hammer and a nail.
