How do you fix interior closet
sliding doors
that wont slide any more? |

Editor's Note: The answer depends on the question. Most
sliding doors use a top track
and, optionally,
a bottom track.
- Make sure both tracks are clear of obstacles.
- If the door hangs from the top track, make
sure the door has sufficient clearance at
the bottom. If not, you may be able to tighten
the adjustment at the top to raise the door
higher off the floor or bottom track.
- If the door has wheels or glides on the bottom,
check the top track to make sure there is
sufficient clearance; if not, look for either
a top or bottom adjustment screw that you
can use to increase the clearance.
- If the rolling mechanism (top or bottom)
is broken, check with your local hardware
store about obtaining a replacement.
Without knowing more about the
problem, that's
all we can suggest. Hope it helps! |
