| Question |
| I have a cracked ceramic turntable in a microwave/convection
oven. What can I use to cement or repair
this crack ( a convection oven that maximizes
at 450 degrees F)? |

| Editor's Note: Our article on epoxy touches on the issue of temperature, but
here's some more information: Some epoxies
are manufactured specifically to resist high
temperatures and are called, not surprisingly,
"high temperature" and "ultra
high temperature" epoxies. Unfortnately,
we're not aware of any that are designed
for 450 degrees F -- the highest temperature
we know maxes out at 200 C (392 F). We suggest
you investigate replacing the turntable. |
