The USRA (United States Racquetball Association)
has precise standards for racquetball balls:
2.25 inches in diameter; weigh approximately
1.4 ounces; have a hardness of 55-60 inches
durometer; and bounce 68-72 inches from a
100-inch drop at a temperature of 70-74 degrees
Fahrenheit.
Raquetball balls are made by
a number of
top sporting goods manufacturers:
Penn (which
claims its Ultra-Blue is the
#1 selling ball),
Wilson, Ektelon and others.
Your choice of balls is largely
one of personal
preference and price. Racquetball
balls are
sold in packages of two or more,
so when
comparing price, be sure to figure
in the
quantity of balls. |
