The tennis net divides the court into two

pole at each edge of the net .

When buying a tennis net, you
should consider
these features:
- length - tennis nets come in standard 42
foot lengths
- width top to bottom - standard 42 inches
- netting material - nylon or thread polyethylene
- top support - either a steel or rope cable
is sewn into the edge of the net. The best
nets use steel in both the upper and lower
tape to resist stretching while allowing
sufficient tension to keep the net from sagging
- side support - premium nets have either a
wood or fiberglass dowel rod to keep the
net flat and rectangular
